Šibenik is situated in the central part of Croatian coast, at the mouth of the River Krka, between two
national parks, Kornati and Krka – area that has recently been pronounced the world's most attractive
nautical destination.
Šibenik is the economical, cultural and political center of the County of Šibenik-Knin.
 
The city that, from the 1990s till today, has developed from a distinct industrial city into an attractive
tourist destination, will soon become the nautical center of the Adriatic.
