NCP Repair Shipyard’s production plant and facilities presented to delegation of US Embassy
During this week a delegation of US Embassy in Zagreb visited NCP Repair Shipyard. Between representatives of the Embassy was Capt. Frederick. W. Mosenfelder - Naval Attaché of the United States, Colonel Charles E. Davis - Head of the International Military Cooperation of the Embassy of the United States (ODC) and Peter D'Amico - general secretary of the Embassy.
The delegation was received by Mr. Goran Prgin, CEO and owner of NCP together with his closest collaborators. Given that Croatia recently became a full-fledged member of NATO, they talked about the possibility that in the very future NCP provides refit, maintain and repair services to US vessels in NATO mission when located in the Mediterranean. All the facilities of NCP Repair Shipyard related to servicing and maintenance of all types of navy vessels were presented to U.S. delegation, considering the fact that NCP maintenance over 80% of Croatian military fleet.

After detailed tour of all the workshops, NCP’s guests expressed their impression by the progress achieved since the shipyard was privatized by NCP and the high level of expertise and motivation of employees when it comes to quick and efficient work at the most complex tasks. Since the 1905 in Repair Shipyard in Sibenik fleet of Austro - Hungary Monarchy was serviced. Throughout the 20th century this navy shipyard preserved business continuity employing top professionals and creating a century-old reference in boatbuilding. Navy boat building sector is the most difficult one as it imposes the highest criteria of stability and durability of the vessels.
The shipyard celebrated the hundred-year anniversary of successful operations with its new owners, NCP Group, who modernized systems and production of the shipyard, expanding business of this navy shipyard to refit, maintenance and service of yachts and mega yachts and commercial vessels. |
